Burns Lake

Burns Lake is named for Michael Byrnes, who was an explorer for the Collins Overland Telegragh.

 

Location:  Burns Lake is located in the north central part of the Province.

Built:  1980 – 1981

Style:  Modern

Architect:  Stuart C Ross

Contractor:  Juniper Construction

 

Description:  The building faces west and is a one story structure. The building is located on landscaped grounds in the centre of Burns Lake. There are large square windows on the south and west sides. A wide band runs below the roof line. The roof rises towards the rear. The courtroom is located on the northeast side. The building houses the Provincial Court.
