Grand Falls was named after the waterfall of the same name and Windsor is named after The British Royal Family, the House of Windsor.

Description: The building faces north and is a one story red coloured brick and concrete structure. The building is located on landscaped grounds to the north of the centre of Grand Falls – Windsor. The north front has a wide porch supported by columns rising to the flat roof line. The interior has a foyer which extends to a high atrium with skylights. The three courtrooms are located along the north side of the atrium. The building is named as The Law Courts Building and houses the Supreme Court and the Provincial Court.
Note: The first courthouse was located on High Street. The previous courthouse was the Provincial Building located to the northeast of the courthouse. Associated Engineering Consultants had the contract for the mechanical and electrical work for the present courthouse.
