Happy Valley-Goose Bay was named in 1955 as “Happy Valley” and after the Goose River.

 

Location:  Happy Valley-Goose Bay is located is located in the central part of Labrador.

Description:  The building faces south and is a one story red coloured brick and concrete structure. The building is located on landscaped grounds in the centre of Happy Valley-Goose Bay. The south front has a recessed entrance. The windows are horizontal. The roof line is flat.  The main courtroom is located on the north side of the entrance foyer and the smaller courtroom is located on the east side. The building houses the Supreme Court.

 

Note:  During construction, structural design was SDI and the mechanical / electrical was Quadra Tec

Built:  1988 – 1989

Description:  The building faces north and is a two story red coloured brick and concrete structure. The building is located on landscaped grounds in the centre of Happy Valley-Goose Bay. The two courtrooms are located on the east and west sides of the first story. The building houses the Provincial Court.
