Style:  Classical Revival

Description:  The building faces north and is a three story buff colored brick and concrete structure. The building is located on landscaped grounds. The north front has a central arched entrance and two large arched windows on the first story. On the east and west are lower two story wings. The roof is hipped. An addition was constructed on the south side.

 

District Courthouse – Brockton

 

 

Location:  215 Main Street / West Elm Street

Built:  1997 – 1999

Style:  Modern

Architect:  Elkus/Manfredi Architects

Contractor:  Beacon Skanska Construction

 

Description:  The building faces east and is a four story red-orange colored brick, glass and concrete structure. The southeast corner has a round tower rising above the flat roof line. The main entrance is on the first story of the tower. Along the sides of the building, the first story is recessed with brick pillars. The large windows on the second story are vertical. The building is named as the George N Covett Courthouse and the Brockton Trial Court. 

 

Note:  The cost of construction was $41,000,000.
