Description: The building faces north and is a six story concrete, steel and glass structure. The building is located southeast of the State Capitol and houses the Supreme Court and the Court of Appeal. The north front is curved. The interior has a high five story atrium with glass windows on the north side. The Supreme Court Chamber is located on the south side of the sixth story and the Court of Appeal Chamber is located on the south side of the second story, The building is named as the Nathan Deal Judicial Center.

Old Supreme Court Building
Location: 40 Mitchell Street / Washington Street

Description: The building faces north and is a six story white colored Georgia marble, concrete and steel structure. The north front has a portico with four columns rising to a pediment at the fourth story. The central entrance on the first story is through the portico. There is a cornice running below the sixth story. The roof line is flat. The Supreme Court Chamber is located in room 606 on the southeast side of the sixth floor. The Court of Appeals is located in room 617 on the southwest side of the sixth floor. There is a small ornate rotunda at the north entrance on the main floor. The building is the State of Georgia Judicial Building. The State Capitol is located on the north side of the building. The Supreme Court and the Court of Appeal moved to the Nathan Deal Judicial Center in 2020.

Description: The building faces west and is a four story Indiana oolitic limestone and concrete structure. The building is located on landscaped grounds. The interior is Georgia marble. The Supreme Court Chamber was former in room 341 on the third story on the south side of the building. The chamber is now used for meetings.
