Skagway is named for “shgagei” which refers to “rough seas in the Taiya Inlet that are caused by strong north winds”.

Description:  The building faces north and is a two story granite and concrete structure. The building is located on landscaped grounds in the center of Skagway. The roof line is flat. The building is known as the McCabe Building. The building houses the Superior Court of the 1st Judicial District and the District Court.
