Description: The building faces north with the State Capitol to the west is a three story gray colored stone and concrete structure. The rectangular shaped building is located on landscaped grounds in the center of Springfield. The first two stories have columns and decorative stonework. The roof line is flat. On the first story are the offices of the Clerk of the Supreme Court and the Clerk of the Appellate Court. The second story is of monumental proportions and finished in dark mahogany. Along the north front are the Supreme Court Room at the northwest corner and Conference Room. On the southwest side is the Appellate Court Room. At the east end of the building is the State Law Library. The third story is devoted to living quarters for the Supreme Court justices.
