Roberval Judicial District is named for Jean Francois de la Roque de Roberval, who was the first Lieutenant General of New France.

Description: The building faces west and is a two story stone structure. The building is located on landscaped grounds. An annex was designed by L Fontaine of the Quebec Department of Public Works and constructed in 1953. The building was renovated in 1953 to 1956. The architect was L Fontaine.
Note: The prison was designed by J P Ouellet and constructed by Georges Marcoux in 1911.
