Description: The building faces north and is a two story red colored brick and wood structure. The building is located on the landscaped grounds of Courthouse Square. The north front has a central projecting section with entrance on the first story, balcony above and large arched window on the second story. The central brick tower rises to an open section at the top with steep green colored roof. The roof is hipped. An addition has been added on the east side.

Description: The building faces north and is a two story gray colored Indiana granite and limestone structure. The building is located on landscaped grounds to the south of the old courthouse. The west front has a large portico with six columns rising to a pediment at the roof line. Along the west side is a large addition. The roof line is flat.

Description: The building faces west and is a ten story concrete and glass structure. The west front has a central entrance which rises six stories. On the east side a rectangular tower rises ten stories. The roof line is flat. The building is named as the Montgomery County Judicial Center. On the south side is the six story Courthouse Annex constructed in 2012 to 2015. The west front has four large glass sections. The roof line is flat. The architect was AECOM of Arlington, Virginia and the contractor was Tompkins Builders of Washington, DC.

History: the county was created in 1776 and Rockville was selected as the county seat. In 1777 the first court session was held at the house of Leonard Davis and later at the Hungerford Tavern built in 1750. The first courthouse was a frame structure built in1785. The second courthouse was built in 1839 to 1840. The third courthouse known as the Red Brick Courthouse was built1889 to 1891 and is still standing. The fourth courthouse was constructed in 1931 to 1932 and is also still standing. The fifth and present courthouse was constructed in 1980 to 1982 and an annex was constructed in 2012 to 2015. .

Description: The building faces northeast and is a six story concrete and glass structure. The northeast front is curved with a recessed glass paneled entrance on the first story. The second story is curved and recessed. The main section of the building is curved with horizontal windows. The roof line is flat. The building houses the District Court.
